Key SAP Specialists Team Up To Deliver Payroll And Employee Scheduling Benefits

A new alliance between MakeShift, an online staff scheduling software provider, and IT service firm EPI-USE is set to bring cutting-edge employee scheduling solutions to a global audience.

MakeShift, based in Calgary in Canada, provides cloud-based solutions for complex challenges in workforce management via technologies including its generative AI platform, ShiftMate AI.

EPI-USE is described as the world’s largest and most experienced independent SAP HR/Payroll specialist, and has built its brand through designing, building and implementing a range of HR/Payroll systems for multinational corporations and public sector agencies.

The global company is also a specialist in developing payroll solutions in more than 40 countries in which SAP does not offer standard payroll support, and guides clients through successful software implementations and change management.

As a result of this collaboration, MakeShift has elevated EPI-USE to the status of certified delivery partner and reseller, a move which now enables EPI-USE to offer MakeShift’s award-winning technology to shift-based organisations around the world.

In a statement, MakeShift said the alliance with EPI-USE “underscores a shared commitment to offering intuitive scheduling technology that's easy for users to adopt and integrate into their daily operations.”

MakeShift CEO Adam Greenberg added: “This collaboration addresses the complex scheduling challenges faced by industries worldwide such as fluctuating demands, compliance with labour laws, and the need for flexibility, by harnessing AI to boost employee wellbeing and operational efficiency.”

He said the alliance with EPI-USE would help MakeShift to enhance the global effectiveness of its workforce management solutions.

“Central to our partnership is a dedication to mutual values, focusing on what really matters—enabling our clients and their teams to dedicate themselves to their core missions and values,” Greenberg said.

EPI-USE Managing Director, Riaan Vermeulen, said the new collaboration recognised the importance of complementary solutions and strategic partnerships. “MakeShift seamlessly fills a crucial gap in SAP's new SuccessFactors Time Management solution, enhancing our ability to deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients worldwide,” he said.

“This partnership emphasises our commitment to providing innovative, integrated HR solutions that drive success for our clients.”

This is an updated version of an article published on 25th March 2024. In the original article we stated that SAP had elevated EPI-USE to status of certified delivery partner and reseller. This has since been corrected to state that it was Makeshift that elevated EPI-USE to their certified delivery partner and reseller status.
